Queen is a British rock band formed in London in 1970 by vocalist Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor, and bassist John Deacon. Over five decades they sold more than 300 million records worldwide, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, and their 1981 Greatest Hits remains the best-selling album in UK chart history. Since 2012, May and Taylor have continued performing as Queen + Adam Lambert, keeping the band's catalog alive on the world's biggest stages.
