About

Rise Against is an American punk rock band from Chicago, formed in 1999, whose melodic hardcore sound and politically charged lyrics have earned them a devoted global following. Led by vocalist Tim McIlrath, the four-piece built their reputation on albums like Siren Song of the Counter Culture (2004) and Appeal to Reason (2008), racking up multiple gold and platinum certifications. Their tenth studio album, Ricochet, arrived in August 2025 - produced by Grammy-winner Catherine Marks - and continues the band's tradition of channeling social commentary into high-velocity punk anthems.
