Samora Pinderhughes is an American pianist, composer, singer and filmmaker who grew up in the Bay Area and trained at Juilliard. His work sits at the intersection of jazz, R&B and social activism, exploring race, justice and systemic inequality. The New York Times called him one of the most moving songwriters working today. He has collaborated with Herbie Hancock, Robert Glasper and Daveed Diggs, and received commissions from Carnegie Hall and the Sundance Film Festival.
