The finale of the second od_nowa project edition, where young creators work with Wyspiański's classics. Three scenic sketches will compete for audience votes and a chance at a full-scale premiere.
Stanisław Wyspiański (1869–1907) was a Polish playwright, poet, painter and designer, one of the central figures of the Young Poland movement. His drama The Wedding (Wesele, 1901), inspired by the real marriage of poet Lucjan Rydel, is a cornerstone of Polish literature, exploring national identity, the divide between intelligentsia and peasantry, and the longing for independence.
