Steve Bug is a German DJ, producer and label owner who has been shaping the European house and techno underground since the early 1990s. Growing up during Germany's acid-house heyday, he developed a signature sound that blends stripped deep house, minimal techno and tweaked-out acid - a style Resident Advisor once summed up by calling him the "gentleman of techno". In 1999 he founded Poker Flat Recordings in Berlin, a label with over 300 releases whose back catalogue remains a reference point for the genre. Alongside Poker Flat he runs the sublabel Sublease Music and has released seven studio albums, placing him among the rare electronic artists who work seriously in the album format.
