About

Susanna Mälkki is a Finnish conductor who built her international reputation largely through contemporary music - she led the Ensemble Intercontemporain in Paris for many years. She now appears regularly with major orchestras worldwide and is increasingly turning to the core symphonic repertoire. In 2023 she conducted the posthumous premiere of Kaija Saariaho's trumpet concerto HUSH.
