About

The Dead South are a four-piece acoustic band from Regina, Saskatchewan, formed in 2012. Nate Hilts (vocals, guitar), Scott Pringle (mandolin, guitar), Colton Crawford (banjo) and Danny Kenyon (cello) blend bluegrass, folk and Americana with a gritty, darkly humorous edge. Their 2014 debut album Good Company - now past one billion streams - broke them globally, driven by the viral hit "In Hell I'll Be in Good Company". Platinum and gold certifications, a Billboard Bluegrass #1 for Sugar & Joy (2019), and a Grand Ole Opry debut in 2024 mark the arc of a band that built its audience one relentless tour at a time.
