Tomeka Reid is an American cellist, composer, and improviser based in Chicago, associated with the AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians). She leads the Tomeka Reid Quartet and is known for blending groove, open composition, and free improvisation. The New York Times has called her a "New Jazz Power Source."
