We Came as Romans (often abbreviated WCAR) are an American metalcore band from Troy, Michigan, active since 2005. Over seven studio albums - from the debut 'To Plant a Seed' (2009) through 'Darkbloom' (2022) and the latest 'All Is Beautiful... Because We're Doomed' (2025) - they built a devoted following with their blend of heavy riffs and melodic, dual-vocal hooks. In August 2018, vocalist and keyboardist Kyle Pavone died at 28 from an accidental overdose; the band chose to continue as a five-piece in his memory.
