For more than 25 years, Austrian rock and roll entertainer Dennis Jale has dedicated himself to the music that made Elvis Presley an icon of the 20th century. With MEMORIES OF ELVIS, he presents a personal and authentic stage production of international standing - a tribute that far transcends the format of a classical tribute show.
More than 300 concerts have taken Dennis Jale, together with original musicians and companions of the King, across Europe. On stage stood legends such as James Burton, Jerry Scheff, Ronnie Tutt, Glenn D. Hardin and Donna Rhodes, complemented by vocal formations like The Sweet Inspirations, The Imperials and the Holladay Sisters.
The current production is shaped by two musicians from Nashville: Kerry Marx, musical director of the Grand Ole Opry, who worked as a guitarist with Johnny Cash, Olivia Newton-John, Jerry Reed and Shania Twain. At his side stands Paul Leim, one of the most sought-after drummers on the American studio scene, whose sound shaped productions and tours with Neil Diamond, Kenny Rogers, Patrick Swayze, Whitney Houston, Lionel Richie and Tom Jones. The evening is also musically complemented by Bobby Ogdin, who in 1977 as a pianist accompanied Elvis on tour and stood on stage during the King's final concert.
MEMORIES OF ELVIS combines the King's greatest songs with personal memories, rare visual and video documents and exclusive behind-the-scenes insights. On screen unfolds a visual document spanning more than two decades of collaboration with the TCB Band. Dennis Jale's connection to the Elvis cosmos runs deep: he maintains a long-standing friendship with Priscilla Presley, and Jerry Schilling - a member of the legendary Memphis Mafia - counts among his personal circle of friends.
