Concert amarcord - Immortal Beauty - Sounds of Timeless Beauty

The Leipzig vocal ensemble amarcord presents its programme "Immortal Beauty" - five voices spanning an arc from the Renaissance to the present day. Hear radiant hymns by Josquin des Prez and Orlando di Lasso, spiritual clarity in Arvo Pärt, elaborate polyphony by William Byrd, romantic nocturnes by Schubert, Debussy and Barber, as well as folk song arrangements from Japan, Ireland and beyond.

The programme is complemented by Joanne Metcalf's "Immortall Beautie" (2019), composed especially for amarcord.

Additionally, a current honour: amarcord will receive the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) 2026 in the "Early Music" category for the album "Maria".
