amarcord

amarcord is a remarkable vocal ensemble from Leipzig, featuring tenors Wolfram Lattke and Robert Pohlers, basses Daniel Knauft and Holger Krause, and baritone Frank Ozimek. The five Leipzig singers bring their blend of classical vocal craft and jazz singing to the Enjoy Jazz stage with both virtuosity and wit.

For their a cappella ensemble, they have arranged the great jazz classics. Their latest release "Maria" (2025), featuring music by Josquin des Prez, received the International Classical Music Award (ICMA) in 2026. Since October 2023, the ensemble has held a teaching position for ensemble singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig - the first vocal ensemble to do so.

In early 2026, the vocal quintet also launched the amarcord Music & Nature Foundation, dedicated to combining music promotion with the protection of natural habitats.
