The Musketeer's Daughter - 6th Performance
Naturtheater Renningen e.V., Germany
France, 1654. Aurélie, the daughter of D'Artagnan - now captain of the royal musketeers - lives in a convent a few miles outside Paris. One night, she and her friend Bernadette stumble upon news of D'Artagnan's violent death and a conspiracy against the royal family. Consumed by rage and grief, Aurélie flees to Paris to seek the king's musketeers for help.
Meanwhile in Paris, Cardinal Mazarin disbands the musketeer corps, blaming them for the kidnapping of the queen. When Aurélie and Bernadette arrive in the city, they find a mysterious priest and Florence - the daughter of a fencing master - in the musketeers' abandoned headquarters. Together they uncover a plot against the king, but while fleeing from the cardinal's men they are separated, and Florence is even arrested.
The coronation of young King Louis - the occasion on which he is to be betrayed and murdered - is drawing ever closer. The friends must find out who is behind it all if they are to prevent the assassination.
