The Musketeer's Daughter - 9th Performance
Naturtheater Renningen e.V., Germany
France, 1654. Aurélie, daughter of D'Artagnan - now captain of the royal musketeers - lives in a convent a few miles outside Paris. One night, she and her friend Bernadette accidentally learn of D'Artagnan's violent death and a conspiracy against the royal family. Aurélie flees to Paris to seek the king's musketeers for help.
Cardinal Mazarin has already disbanded the musketeer corps, having blamed them for the queen's abduction. In the deserted headquarters, Aurélie and Bernadette encounter a mysterious priest and Florence, the daughter of a fencing master. Together they uncover a plot against the king - but while fleeing the cardinal's men they are separated, and Florence is arrested.
The coronation of young King Louis is drawing near - the very occasion on which he is to be betrayed and killed. The friends must find out who is behind it all before it is too late.
