Pipapo - My Mum Has a Bird in Her Head (A Dementia Experience)

Julia Kohler reads from her book "Pipapo - My Mum Has a Bird in Her Head" - a personal account of life as a young person affected by Alzheimer's disease in the family. The impetus to write came from a lack of literature that honestly reflected her own experience: "Everything was too prettily told for me."

During the reading, the focus is less on the text itself than on what lies between the lines - and what readers otherwise wouldn't learn. Afterwards, there will be space for exchange and dialogue.

The event takes place in cooperation with the Dementia Network Bodensee District and the Bodensee District Office on the occasion of World Alzheimer's Day. Duration: approximately 90 minutes, free admission.
