Junge Philharmonie Oberschwaben - Conducted by Alban Beikircher — Stadthalle Tuttlingen, Tuttlingen
Description was written before the event

Junge Philharmonie Oberschwaben (JPO) under the direction of Alban Beikircher opens the new concert season in Tuttlingen. The ensemble has performed at the Stadthalle multiple times and has established itself as a fixture among music lovers in the region over its 18-year history.

The orchestra provides young musicians - including several from Tuttlingen - with the opportunity to perform major symphonic works. The 2026 programme features compositions by Franz Liszt, Gioachino Rossini, and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Additionally, the youth orchestra will premiere a commissioned work by Florian Karl Enrique Briegel.

Conductor Alban Beikircher studied violin with Joshua Epstein in Saarbrücken and with Yfrah Neaman in London. He directs the music school in Bad Saulgau and works as a concert conductor in many countries throughout and beyond Europe. The JPO was founded from Beikircher's observation that the extended Lake Constance region lacks a large symphony orchestra: young musicians from the Ulm, Friedrichshafen, Tuttlingen, and Swabian Alps areas work on the programme over three rehearsal weekends and then perform it at four venues across the region - for many years regularly also at Stadthalle Tuttlingen.
