EVENT: International Day of Speech and Language Disorders
Hugendubel Würzburg, Germany
Eintritt frei
Speech and language disorders affect approximately 8% of all children and are among the most common developmental disorders - yet often go unrecognized. For International Day of Speech and Language Disorders (SLD), Hugendubel Würzburg, in partnership with the Research Laboratory for Communication and Language (FoKuS) at the Department of Pedagogy and Intervention for Speech and Communication Disorders at the University of Würzburg, provides information about causes, effects, and support and therapy options.
The programme includes read-aloud sessions for different age groups (every full hour at 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00 for toddlers and kindergarteners; every half hour at 14:30, 15:30 and 16:30 for preschool and school-age children), an information booth about speech development and support options, a photo activity, an interactive station for teenagers, and a quiz in the children's book section.
Participation is free; advance registration is available.
