The centrepiece of the evening is Vivaldiana, a four-movement piano concerto by Dariusz Zboch, which builds on Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" and weaves in hits from the 1960s and 70s - from Queen through Procol Harum and Led Zeppelin to Deep Purple.

Zboch is not only concertmaster of the Silesian Chamber Soloists but also the arranger behind the ensemble's cross-over approach: in his arrangements, classical works meet pop classics. One piece begins with Tchaikovsky's string serenade, transitions to Queen's "Somebody to Love" and returns to Tchaikovsky at the end.

The Silesian Chamber Soloists rank among Europe's renowned string ensembles and have performed at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, MDR Musiksommer and Rheingau Musik Festival. At the piano is Christoph Soldan, who performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician and serves as initiator and artistic director of several concert series and festivals.
