Exhibition Tour (EN) - Verner Panton: Form, Colour, Space
Vitra Schaudepot, Weil am Rhein, Germany
Every last Saturday of the month, 11 am
Verner Panton (1926-1998) suspended chairs from the ceiling and designed organic living landscapes that continue to fascinate today. On the centenary of the Danish architect and designer's birth, the Vitra Design Museum dedicates a major exhibition to him at the Vitra Schaudepot.
The full breadth of his work is on display - from icons like the "Panton Chair" through lighting and textile designs to lesser-known architectural projects. A walk-through reconstruction of the legendary "Fantasy Landscape" (1/8) from 1970 makes Panton's understanding of space and the spirit of the era tangible. The exhibition draws on the extensive Verner Panton Collection of the Vitra Design Museum, one of the most significant of its kind, featuring objects, drawings, models and archival materials.
Created in close collaboration with Verner Panton Design AG.
