FARIN URLAUB on Travel

FARIN URLAUB has been traveling since before he started playing in a band. For decades, he has repeatedly returned to Africa - sometimes on his own, sometimes with a guide, on a motorcycle or in a four-wheel drive. He has visited more than 40 countries on the continent.

What he experienced there - beauty, encounters, adventures, contradictions - he now wants to share. Not as a cultural expert, but as a curious traveler with a camera, functional clothing, and a sunburn.

Together with Jochen Schliemann (journalist, traveler, writer, and co-host of the podcast "Reisen Reisen - Der Podcast"), Farin embarks on a lecture tour through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Both speak openly about their subjective experiences and show photographs from their travels.
