Club der toten Dichter - Galgenlieder - Christian Morgenstern Newly Composed

Hans-Werner Meyer brings fresh arrangements of Morgenstern's celebrated Galgenlieder to Peine on 2 October 2026 at 20:00 in the Stadttheater Peiner Festsäle. Joined by bassist Markus Runzheimer and guitarist Reinhardt Repke, Meyer crafts an evening of poetic humour and depth, where classic verses find new life. This is one of four German dates on the tour, with additional performances in Cuxhaven, Schwerin, and Achim. Morgenstern's Galgenlieder, composed from the gallows, reveal the world from an unusual vantage point, and these new compositions allow their contemporary resonance to emerge. Admission: €32.50.
