About the venue: Luisenburg Festspiele

The Luisenburg Festspiele in Wunsiedel is Germany's oldest open-air theatre, with performances documented as far back as 1810. The natural stage is set among the dramatic granite rock formations of the Luisenburg - a landscape shaped by Ice Age geology in the Fichtelgebirge. Each summer the festival stages a mix of musicals, plays and children's theatre against this striking rocky backdrop.
