Born Michael Haubold in Plauen, Schubert built his career around a deadpan alter ego who tackles the world's problems in a too-tight sweater vest - and has been doing so on the ZDF "heute-show" since 2009. His current touring programme "Jetzt oder now!" runs through 2027 alongside the long-running "Dresdner Stadtrundshow".

It serves as the home of the Philharmonisches Orchester der Hansestadt Lübeck and hosts concerts, congresses, and major cultural events.
