About
Olaf Schubert is the stage name of German comedian and musician Michael Haubold, born on 7 November 1967 in Plauen, Saxony. His character - a self-styled naive philosopher in a tight diamond-patterned sweater vest, speaking with a thick Saxon accent - has made him one of the most recognisable figures in German cabaret. Since 2009 he has been a regular cast member of the ZDF satirical programme "heute-show", and he regularly tours with his ensemble "seine Freunde".
