Founded in Munich in 1945, the Münchner Symphoniker bring together a repertoire stretching from baroque to contemporary music across roughly 100 concerts each season. Chief conductor Joseph Bastian, in post since 2023, has steered the ensemble toward ambitious programming that pairs musical tradition with socially engaged projects.
