Georgian Voices in Dresden | Vokal Ensemble Batumi - State Choir from Batumi

Vokal Ensemble Batumi, the state choir from the Georgian city of Batumi, performs in Dresden on Friday, 6 November 2026. The concert takes place at Kreuzkirche, the city's largest and oldest parish church, which has served as Dresden's spiritual centre since the thirteenth century. The ensemble presents traditional Georgian vocal music - polyphonic songs rooted in deep Caucasian traditions. This is one of two German dates on the tour; the second is scheduled in Berlin. The historic interior of Kreuzkirche, rebuilt in late Baroque and Neoclassical style, provides an ideal setting for this repertoire.
