Only the Tough Make It to the Garden!
Our summer programme will be available from September in the Kabarettkeller

Recently, a well-known economics minister tried to make policy from his kitchen table. It didn't work out. Perhaps he should have tried it in a small garden plot instead? Herkuleskeule believes that political cabaret certainly belongs in the garden. So cabaret artists Birgit Schaller, Johanna Mucha, and Philipp Schaller meet in a colleague's garden plot to quietly develop a new programme. But of course, current politics always finds its way in. It will be nerve-wracking for the cabaret performers - and a delight for the audience. Philipp Schaller, who not only performs but also wrote the script, is convinced that "right now is a very good time for political cabaret". Society is interested in politics, people discuss and voice their opinions. "But it's cabaret that doesn't lecture the audience, rather it asks the question 'why'", he emphasizes. That laughter won't be in short supply is already hinted at by the programme title itself - and Ellen Schaller, an experienced cabaret artist, directed and also contributed to the script.

These three cabaret performers dig into new texts and songs not just in the soil of the garden plot, but also in the depths of opinion manipulation. What else is there to believe in, what else is there to fight for? Plant trees or dig bunkers? The whole thing is musically "watered" by the live playing of musicians Jens Wagner and Volker Fiebig. It will be rocky, it will be satirical, it will be hot!
