STING meets GABRIEL - a Tribute to the "RockPaperScissors-Tour 2016"

In 2016, two of the most iconic pop artists in history hit the road together under the banner "Rock, Paper, Scissors". Sting and Peter Gabriel performed alongside their world-class bands, mixing and matching their countless hits on stage as they pleased.

Until now, that one-of-a-kind concert event was only ever experienced live in North America - but that changes here, exactly 10 years on. Reggatta de Blanc and Mercy Street, widely regarded across Europe as the finest tribute acts for Sting/The Police and Peter Gabriel respectively, join forces under the title "STING MEETS GABRIEL". With a 13-piece band, they cover all the major hits of both icons: from Roxanne and Sledgehammer to Every Breath You Take and Don't Give Up, through to Solsbury Hill and Englishman in N.Y.

These concerts are designed to be something special. "It won't simply be two bands playing their sets back to back," explain frontmen Mick Griese (Reggatta) and Ulf Pohlmeier (Mercy Street). "Just as Sting and Peter Gabriel showed us a decade ago, we're merging our two bands into one shared musical journey through the work of these two superstars."

Reggatta de Blanc has been active for 36 years and played over 1,500 concerts - making them the longest-running tribute act on European stages. Mercy Street, founded in 2015, has built a reputation as the best Peter Gabriel tribute band in Europe. The Rheinische Post wrote: "Mercy Street concerts are a towering celebration of Peter Gabriel's intelligent, expressive compositions - essential for fans and connoisseurs alike."
