Paris Ballet Theater brings Franceconcert's original production on tour for the 2026-2027 season. The Nutcracker is a timeless masterpiece set to Tchaikovsky's iconic music, with a libretto by Petipa and choreography based on the celebrated original by Ivanov.

Inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann's story, the ballet follows young Clara, who receives a nutcracker soldier as a Christmas Eve gift. That night the toy comes to life, leading her on a magical adventure: a battle against a mischievous army of mice, a transformation into a charming prince, and a fairy-tale journey through an enchanted kingdom where flowers bloom and snowflakes dance.

The two-act ballet had its world premiere in December 1892 at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. To this day it remains one of the most performed ballets in the world, celebrated for its sweeping music and spectacular choreography.
