Die Höchste Eisenbahn back after a six-year break

Die Höchste Eisenbahn are back - and in 2025 they sound the way people in 1925 imagined 1999 would sound: skyscrapers and flying steam carriages. Half a song in, you remember exactly why you love these four Berliners and how much you missed them. Six years is a long time, even if it passed quickly for the band - the pandemic and various solo projects made the gap feel shorter than it was. Max Schröder made music with Olli Schulz, Francesco Wilking with Crucchi Gang, Moritz Krämer released records with traurigen Hummern and feigen Schönheit among others, and Felix Weigt became a podcaster who at one point considered quitting music altogether.

Now Die Höchste Eisenbahn are back not only with a major tour in autumn 2025 but also with a new album: "Wenn wir uns wieder sehen schreien wir uns wieder an". It comes loaded with fresh earworms: "Dieses Leben", "Ich komm gleich nach" and "Bürotage". After a sold-out tour, 2026 takes them outside - with open-air shows in Hamburg, Leipzig, Kaiserslautern and Berlin. Francesco Wilking, Moritz Krämer, Felix Weigt and Max Schröder will play old favourites alongside the new material. Within the first few minutes, it becomes clear all over again why so many people consider these four their all-time favourite band.
