Blechschaden - The Brass Section of the Munich Philharmonic — BadnerHalle Rastatt, Rastatt

Blechschaden: 2025 with a new programme on tour.

On stage for over 40 years, every ensemble member a recognised top-tier musician. Yet Blechschaden is far more than a tradition - it is above all an unwavering commitment to reveal the fun side of music, whether popular or classical.

The world-renowned "fun faction" of the Munich Philharmonic demonstrates at every concert that any kind of music - from pop to opera, from musical theatre to classical symphony - can be pure pleasure when presented in the right, unconventional way.

In their new 2025 tour programme, these philharmonic "foreign legionnaires" blend different musical genres into a highly entertaining melodic cocktail, garnished with hilarious commentary and interludes. Their Scottish conductor Bob Ross reaches into the humour box with generous abandon. Whether it's "classical with a twist" ("Nessun dorma" from Puccini's "Turandot"), musical theatre hits "in brass" ("I Don't Know How to Love Him" from Webber's "Jesus Christ Superstar") or an unexpectedly orchestral pop anthem ("Earth, Wind and Blechschaden Fire") - it always comes down to two things: professionalism and fun. In Bavaria without Bavarian spirit? Impossible! So there's always room for something traditional like the "Steingadener Musikantenmarsch".
