For years, this multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer worked as a sought-after sideman on saxophone and flute - both live and in the studio - for established scene heavyweights like Randy Crawford, Phil Collins, Mousse T., Jazzkantine, Bahama Soul Club, and Spice. In parallel, he developed his own projects, including the German-African project "Culture Clan", with which he achieved a number 1 hit in South Africa and received accolades.

Triggered by the pandemic, YORK now realizes his passion for jazz and soul with the album "The SoulJazz Experience". With interludes and samples from 1960s film-music atmosphere, he creates a link to his work in theatre and film, and through scratches reveals his secret love of DJing. His years of stage experience and involvement in over 100 CD productions give him a natural, self-assured presence. Impressive is the constant balance between musical precision and the courage to embrace analog pauses. YORK visibly and tangibly enjoys his new creative freedom - as a composer, arranger, and producer, and of course as a performing musician! And now with an outstanding live band!
