Wenn Overbeck kommt.... - Crime Reading with Roland Jankowsky

Roland Jankowsky has been a familiar face on German television for years - most notably as Commissioner Overbeck, the character who turned the ZDF series "Wilsberg" into a cult favourite and continues to draw a growing fanbase. Whenever his schedule allows, he returns to the stage.

For his crime reading evening, he draws on years of experience as a radio presenter and narrator to perform "criminal" short stories. His "alter ego" sits uninvited at the reading table, commenting on the performance with expressive body language, the occasional aside, and a well-timed quip. The subtle interplay between narrator and actor gives the evening a pleasantly tongue-in-cheek quality.

The reading was awarded the audience prize Goldene Berta at the Eifelkulturtagen 2016.
