Kabarett Leipziger Pfeffermühle - "Holiday from the Brain"
Bürgersaal Waren, Germany
What's left when you take a "holiday from the brain"? Physically speaking, thinking is a process that depends on the number of synapses - the more folds the brain has, the more surface fits inside the skull, and the smarter the person.
The four Pfeffermühle performers Mandy Neukirchner, Ada Scholl, Elisabeth Sonntag and Lena Wieprich invite the audience to a two-hour mental breather - not to switch off entirely, but to come back to old thoughts and opinions with a fresh perspective. The programme blends humour with a touch of lightness and plenty of goodwill towards one's neighbour.
Karl Valentin put it well: "I'm glad when it rains. Because if I'm not glad, it rains anyway." "Holiday from the Brain" serves as emergency relief for misanthropes with little grip on reality - and for anyone who simply wants a good laugh.
