Stephan Bauer - "Married Couples Go to Heaven - They've Already Been in Hell!"
Stadthalle Leonberg, Germany

Women need men and vice versa! It seems obvious. But when the wife mows the lawn and the husband follows her with a sun umbrella, something's not right. Despite all the ideals of gender equality, the modern woman still craves authentic masculinity. Not primitive machismo like "can your cold feet chill my beer", but male decisiveness, determination, and the ability to make decisions. Men, meanwhile, stand in the bathroom in the morning thinking: "Got my underwear on the right way - daily goal achieved."
The dilemma: without masculinity and femininity, there's no sexual attraction. And so everyone has accepted that alongside the espresso machine, a vibrator now sits in the well-stocked household, while men spend more time with pornography than with their wives. Following the motto: "We satisfy our appetites outside, we starve at home". How times have changed! Once there was no sex before marriage, now there's no sex in marriage. Can we turn back the clock? How do we get back to more togetherness? Do I need a helmet for that?
So much has gotten mixed up in these days; not one stone stands on another anymore. Once people were smart and phones were dumb, now it's the opposite. You think: "Lord, send us brains from heaven. Or stones. Just hit something."
Stephan Bauer's new programme is a ray of hope. An absurd escape from false gender ideologies, exaggerated ideas of happiness, and the disorientation that modernity carries with it. One microphone, one bar stool, and two hours of punchlines rapid-fire. For the audience - two hours of laughter without pause. Pure "big Bauer".
