The Broken Jug - A Comedy for Three

The court day gets off to a bad start for village judge Adam: first a nasty nightmare, then he wakes up with bumps and scratches on his head, and finally learns that an inspection of the accounts and his judicial fitness is imminent.

The disasters keep coming: Marthe Rull appears in court as a plaintiff, accusing Ruprecht - the fiancé of her daughter Eve - of having smashed her clay jug the previous evening.

Eve is the only witness who could say exactly what happened. But why won't she speak up? The events unfold into an entertaining and surprisingly sharp comedy.

Chawwerusch Theatre's take on the classic in a stripped-back, contemporary staging.
