Susanne Rohn, one of the most distinguished organists of her generation, performs on the Ladegast-Eule organ. A prize-winner at several international organ competitions, she has served as organist at the Erlöserkirche in Bad Homburg since 1997.

The Nikolaikirche is one of Leipzig's oldest and most significant churches, dating back to the 12th century. Its interior was remodelled in a striking late-Baroque and early-Neoclassical style in the 18th century, featuring the famous palm-column nave. The church became historically prominent as the starting point of the Monday Demonstrations in 1989, which played a key role in the peaceful revolution that led to German reunification. Today it hosts regular services as well as concerts and public events.
