Five friends who graduated together return to the island of Santa Maria after 20 years to relive old memories. Evelin takes a job at the hotel bar to earn some extra cash, while her sister Charlotte tries to win back the attention of her husband Thomas - with little success, as he is consumed by stock market dealings and fears exposure of a tax scandal.

Pilot Harry turns out to be just what Charlotte needs to make Thomas jealous, and her plan works perfectly. Meanwhile, Andreas and Eveline fall for each other and decide to spend the rest of their lives together.

Juan, originally from Germany, settled on the island years ago and draws everyone's attention with his many words of wisdom.

Pepe and Pepita, who run the hotel together, look after their guests and organise a big farewell party - celebrating the engagement of Eveline and Andreas, while Charlotte and Thomas finally find their way back to each other.
