Haydn's music is like a rooster's crow at dawn: his musical wit awakens the listener, dispels the darkness, and opens the eye to the light of the Enlightenment. Haydn invented the symphony to celebrate the future - and that is precisely what the project "Haydn2032" does.

"Haydn2032" is Giovanni Antonini's grand anniversary project: together with Il Giardino Armonico and the Basel Chamber Orchestra, a complete recording of all 107 Haydn symphonies is being created by 2032 - thematically organized, historically informed, and published as a high-quality edition.
