Choral Symphonics under the Domes of Balthasar Neumann

Anton Bruckner's Mass in D minor stands as one of the significant works of Romantic church music. Composed in 1864, this work unites profound spirituality with monumental sonic richness and ranks among the great choral-symphonic masterpieces of the 19th century.

As part of the Gmünd Festival of European Church Music, this work receives a special premiere in 2026 - as does the performance venue: for the first time, the Philharmonic Choir Schwäbisch Gmünd in full ensemble will be heard in the imposing abbey church of Neresheim. Beneath the sweeping domes of Baroque architect Balthasar Neumann, Bruckner's music unfolds in all its sonic and spiritual depth.
