Failing Beautifully with Ringelnatz - A Journey Through the Life of Joachim Ringelnatz
Stadthalle Korntal, Korntal-Münchingen, Germany
Some days everything goes wrong. Heike Feist and Andreas Nickl know this well. That's why they've set out to show how to fail with style, embarking on a journey through the life of the magnificent poet Joachim Ringelnatz. A small man with a big imagination who mastered the art of falling and getting back up. His works were banned during the Nazi era and condemned as "degenerate," and his opportunities to perform were severely restricted.
This evening, accompanied by music and paper props, will illuminate key moments in his life and his relationship with Musch - his wife - while revealing previously unknown details. The audience is invited to be seduced and to view the world of failure through Ringelnatz's eyes. After all, behind every missed turn can lurk a smile.
Heike Feist and Andreas Nickel from Berlin tell the life story of writer Hans Bötticher, who later took the name Joachim Ringelnatz, at "Film-Eck an der Telegrafenstraße 1." They do so with such passion and temperament that the audience sometimes doesn't know whether to laugh or cry.
An evening for everyone who loves laughter, appreciates moments of reflection, and wants to enjoy the magic of language.
