European Folk Music Concert - We Want to Be a Bridge
Stadthalle Korntal, Korntal-Münchingen, Germany
15 €
Under the motto "We Want to Be a Bridge," the German Youth in Europe organization (DJO-Deutsche Jugend in Europa e.V.) presents a musical evening on October 11, 2026, at Stadthalle Korntal that unites nations through music. Folk groups in traditional costumes of their homelands perform melodies characteristic of their regions. Toward the end of the concert, the groups demonstrate how music connects by performing together a European musical anthem in a rich, international composition.
Almost 100 young musicians, singers, and vocalists from Latvia, Belarus, the Czech Republic, and Germany will perform simultaneously on the concert stage. This form is unique. Participating are the Egerländer Familienmusik Hess family orchestra from Neckartal, the group Moravia Cantat, the Stuttgarter Adventssingen stubenmusik, the BALTI zither ensemble from Latvia, the Javor folk group from Minsk in Belarus, and the Hradistanek folk group from Uherské Hradiště in the Czech Republic. Together, they will create a rich and unforgettable musical program.
The concert is under the patronage of Manuel Hagel, Minister of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg.
