Katrin Iskam - Gardening Without the Fuss

She's notorious, one of a kind, and definitely a little crazy. She doesn't have THE green thumb - she has two of them. "Gärtnern ohne viel Geschiss" (Gardening Without the Fuss) is not just her motto but also the title of her current live tour.

Meet Katrin Iskam - a trained and working nurse, but above all the hottest name in the local gardening scene. Who else digs, shovels, and rakes in rubber boots and a nightgown? Exactly - only "Katrinchen", as her fans affectionately call her. And there are quite a few of them by now: nearly 200,000 followers on her Instagram page @katrinsgarten, which won 1st place at the German Garden Book Prize. A self-taught gardener, successful garden influencer, and SPIEGEL bestselling author (2022: "Mit Witz, Charme und Methode - Das etwas andere Gartenbuch"; 2023: "Klotzen statt kleckern: Gartengestaltung mit @katrinsgarten"; book no. 3 follows in late summer: "Mit Herz & Gabel durch Katrins Gartenjahr 2025"). Born and raised in the Altmark region, she now lives in Himbergen in the Lüneburger Heide. Could a place name sound more garden-like? Probably not.
