Iris Oettinger - dubbed "a fun swinging drummer" by celebrated American trombonist Dan Barrett - takes her audience back to the streets of deep Louisiana and New Orleans with her infectious drive. Alongside her bandmates, all regarded as top-class jazz musicians well beyond Germany's borders, she swings effortlessly through the 1920s, 30s and 40s, with a touch of Caribbean feel thrown in.
