Treat yourself to wonderful music and a culinary delight during the interval!
Somewhere in the world... there is a little bit of happiness - the Salon-Damen convey this hopeful message through their music in a deeply touching way. After twenty-five years of concert touring, they have come to understand that the roots of true happiness lie within the heart.
With songs from the 1920s, 30s and 40s, specially arranged for them, and dressed in elegant gowns and hats, they transport their audience into a magical world. The singing and playing ladies perform on cello, violin, clarinet and piano, taking listeners on a musical journey through time. Where else would you find on one stage a singer who also plays violin, a pianist who plays accordion, a violinist who sings backing vocals, a clarinettist who doubles on saxophone, and a lady who handles both cello and double bass?
