An event organizer recently said: "The old year doesn't really end for me until Bernd Gieseking has taken stock of it on my stage!"

For 33 years now, Gieseking has been touring with this special programme. He is a cabaret artist and writer, a gifted storyteller, but also a precise satirist and master of comedy.

Throughout the year, Gieseking keeps notes, writes, observes, analyzes and comments. The result is 90 minutes of political cabaret - but not just that. It's a unique blend of major politics and personal experience, with self-irony alongside discovered gems. Gieseking finds seemingly trivial details and makes them grand and unforgettable. From January to December, he picks a face of the month - sometimes as tribute, sometimes as accusation.

The audience can look forward to his signature segments: the legendary calls from various politicians ("Klingeling"), once again commented confusion, the great East-Westphalian sage, and again the scenes from his favorite pub "Fischlounge" with absurd disputes between owner Herbert and regular patron and poet Karl.

Politics, society, culture, media and press provide him with the cues for wit and comedy, for grotesque logic and playful nonsense. Gieseking is once more the reliable chronicler of the chaos of our times. Ab dafür!
