Photographer and adventurer Robert Neu has been travelling the Baltic states for over twenty years - on foot, by boat, in a camper van, and now in an unusual combination of bicycle and packraft. This ultralight inflatable boat makes it possible to link cycling and water stages, experiencing the landscape from a completely new angle.
His route takes him from the Curonian Spit along lonely Baltic beaches all the way to the almost Scandinavian feel of Estonia. He encounters living traditions, vibrant cities like Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius - and stumbles into surprising stories: from having his own Baltic island to spending an unplanned night behind bars.

Particularly striking are the quiet moments in nature and the chance meetings with people along the way - as well as with moose, storks and Europe's last brown bears.
