Joscho Stephan's Munich Connection

Joscho Stephan ranks among the most influential guitarists in modern Gypsy Swing. With an authentic tone, harmonic sophistication and virtuoso solo technique, he has built a formidable international reputation. His style blends the genre's traditions with Latin, classical and rock influences, winning over concert audiences around the world.

For the "Munich Connection" project, Stephan is joined by two outstanding figures from the southern German music scene. First is Raffael Müller (rhythm guitar), whose roots run deep in Gypsy Swing. He brings pulsating, precise rhythm playing and a warm, driving sound that forms the perfect foundation for Stephan's soaring solos.

Completing the trio is Julia Hornung (double bass), known for her melodic, musically refined bass playing and broad stylistic range. She gives the group both grounding stability and supple dynamics, and is a fixture of the Munich Gypsy Jazz scene.

Together they form the "Munich Connection" - a trio that pairs virtuoso Gypsy Jazz with fresh musical joy and a strong sense of ensemble.
