Eh ichs vergesse - the celebrated cult cabaret programme — Kulturzentrum Parksäle Dippoldiswalde, Dippoldiswalde

The celebrated cult programme by and with Wolfgang Schaller, and with Birgit Schaller

The guestbook reads: "Funny, comic, thought-provoking - a wonderful feast of ideas." Though one visitor wrote: "Wasn't for me." Wolfgang Schaller, with more than 50 productions at the Herkuleskeule cabaret, has never managed to please everyone. Awarded the Star of Satire on the Cabaret Walk of Fame in 2009 and named Dresdner of the Year in 2018, he has long been one of the best-known authors in the genre. Now he takes the stage alongside Birgit Schaller in a programme that received standing ovations at its premiere. The Süddeutsche Zeitung called them the "dream couple of German cabaret" and wrote that "she gilds his texts" - texts that, like his politically sharp columns in the Sächsische Zeitung, have long since become cult classics. With her as the "comedic singing force of nature" and him as the "clear-eyed analyst and master of the well-turned phrase", and with pianist Thomas Wand or Hans-Richard Ludewig at the keys, the evening moves between loud laughter and moments of quiet melancholy.

Peter Ensikat called Wolfgang Schaller's texts "fun that stops being harmless." Dieter Hildebrandt expressed his "deep respect" and wished him "the lasting trust of his followers, of whom I am one." Werner Schneyder saw in him "a man torn between dreamed-of utopia and reality, between defiance and resignation, between steadfastness and vulnerability."

Birgit Schaller - hailed as an "adored chatterbox" and "seductively sparkling force of nature" - earned rave reviews from audiences and critics alike across her three solo programmes. She appeared in the ARD show "Ladys Night" and has played, parodied and sung in 30 productions alongside Wolfgang Stumph, Rainer Bursche, and as a guest at the Staatsoperette.

Thomas Wand and Hans-Richard Ludewig alternate at the piano when they are not busy as university lecturers or sound engineers.
