It was supposed to be a formality. The tennis club's general meeting is set to vote on buying a new grill for club events. Normally no big deal - except for a proposal to also fund a separate grill for the club's only Turkish member. Devout Muslims, after all, cannot place their sausages on a grate that has touched pork. A well-meaning idea that sparks heated debate and puts the otherwise peaceful club under serious strain.

"Extrawurst" is a comedy by well-known writers Dietmar Jacobs and Moritz Netenjakob, the duo behind popular TV formats including "Die Wochenshow", "Ladykracher", "Das Amt" and "Stromberg". After celebrated runs on many stages, the satirical play is also coming to the cinema screen in 2026.
